COBRA Compliance Services

Group Health Insurance clients of Valley Health Administrators Insurance Agency with 20 or more full-time equivalent employees may obtain COBRA services at no additional cost.

Under the COBRA regulations, the IRS requires that employers with 20 or more full time equivalent employees, regardless of how many participate in the group health plan, offer the same benefits to terminated employees as the would to any current employee. This also extends to dependents of terminated or active employees who may lose coverage.

Our value-added COBRA service is provided by Human Resources America, Inc., a company that specializes in COBRA administration. The services include compliance with all COBRA regulations and complete reporting to our clients.

According to the IRS and the US Department of Labor, over 95% of all businesses are not in compliance with COBRA regulations!

COBRA Premium Subsidy Ended as of May 2010
